Description

Boat America offers a comprehensive boating safety course aimed at obtaining a CT boating certificate. Taught by certified U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary instructors, the course equips participants with essential knowledge for safe boating. Upon completion and acquisition of the state certificate, attendees gain the ability to operate Personal Water Crafts (PWCs) and boats up to 65 feet. Additionally, some insurance providers extend discounts to graduates of this course. Senior citizens and first responders are eligible for a $10 discount on registration; however, to avail of this offer, registration must be completed via phone.

Please note: Students must attend all 5 classes to pass the course.

Cancellations & Refund Policy:

• Vernon Regional Adult Based and Continuing Education reserves the right to make necessary changes, including limiting course enrollment or canceling courses due to insufficient enrollment. If a course is canceled for this reason, registered students will be notified and fully refunded.  

• Class sessions may be rescheduled due to unforeseen school closures, COVID-related issues, inclement weather, or teacher absences. Refunds or credits will not be provided to students who are unable to attend rescheduled make-up classes.

• Students assume all risk of changes in their personal schedules. Absence from the class does not reduce the cost of operating our programs, therefore there is no prorating of cost. For this reason student absence does not result in a refund, tuition credit or make-up session.
