Description

New to investing? You’re not alone. Many people have little to no investing experience outside of their company retirement plan or investment advisor. Whether you want to learn how to invest on your own or simply understand what your financial advisor is talking about, this is a great place to begin your investing journey. We’ll start with what is a stock? How does the stock market work? We believe successful investors 'date' stocks before tying the knot. We’ll take Hershey on a 'date' to see if we’d like to enter into a long-term relationship and invest.
Together, we’ll take Hershey on a date to:
• Get to know Hershey better
• Understand its financial position
• Learn about its dividend history
• Discover if Hershey stock is 'on sale' or 'overpriced'

PLEASE NOTE: Our instructors are employed to teach general concepts to groups of students, rather than to offer specific investment advice to individuals. Students are advised to consult their own financial advisor or attorney before making any investment decisions based on specific examples provided by our instructors.

Additional Notes

Cancellations & Refund Policy:

  • Vernon Regional Adult Based and Continuing Education reserves the right to make necessary changes, including limiting course enrollment or canceling courses due to insufficient enrollment. If a course is canceled for this reason, registered students will be notified and fully refunded.

  • Class sessions may be rescheduled due to unforeseen school closures, COVID-related issues, inclement weather, or teacher absences. Refunds or credits will not be provided to students who are unable to attend rescheduled make-up classes.

  • Students assume all risk of changes in their personal schedules. Absence from the class does not reduce the cost of operating our programs, therefore there is no prorating of cost. For this reason student absence does not result in a refund, tuition credit or make-up session.
