Description

Take your investing to the next level with two essential investing skills: technical analysis and stock options. Just as sailors use nautical charts to navigate the waterways and avoid hazardous areas, we can use price charts to navigate the stock market. Price charts provide valuable insight into what is happening in the market. They help us find areas of support and resistance, identify trends and use patterns to predict what’s likely to happen next. By combining the art of technical analysis with the power of stock options we can create strategies to protect stock positions, manage risk and generate income. In this class you will learn what stock options are, how they work and how to read an option chain. We’ll explore strategies to strategically protect stocks, limit downside risk, maintain unlimited upside and generate income. The best way to learn these skills is through practical application. It is recommended you bring a laptop to class (WI-FI is available). We’ll be using TradingView’s charting software and Think or Swim’s options platform. Instructions to access these tools will be provided upon registration.

Pre-requisites: Active in the buying and selling of stocks and have current holdings.

PLEASE NOTE: Our instructors are employed to teach general concepts to groups of students, rather than to offer specific investment advice to individuals. Students are advised to consult their own financial advisor or attorney before making any investment decisions based on specific examples provided by our instructors.
