Description

This program is designed for the new male golfer or for golfers who have never played of have not played in a number of years.

In five 75 minute sessions, our coaches will cover everything you need to know to play your first round of golf.

Classes will cover the basics of the golf swing, putting, short game techniques, rules and etiquette.

Our coaches will also discuss what you will need for golf, therefore it is recommended that you do not go out and buy clubs until you have started this class.

You will be given a static club fitting which will allow the coach to make a recommendation as to which clubs to buy.

 Lessons will conclude with an on-course session to introduce the various areas of the golf course to complete this introductory class.

 Lyman coupons handed out (10% off merchandise, 25% off apparel, 2 small range baskets and an Apple 9 round)

 NOTE: This is a five week course. Six weeks are listed as that sixth week is saved in case Lyman is forced to cancel due to inclement weather in the first five weeks.  If any sessions are missed as a result of the student cancelling, a Practice w/ the Pro credit (PWP) can be issued by your instructor by request.

The classes are held at Lyman Orchards Golf Club, 700 Main Street, Middlefield, CT.

Cancellations & Refund Policy:

• Vernon Regional Adult Based and Continuing Education reserves the right to make necessary changes, including limiting course enrollment or canceling courses due to insufficient enrollment. If a course is canceled for this reason, registered students will be notified and fully refunded.  

• Class sessions may be rescheduled due to unforeseen school closures, COVID-related issues, inclement weather, or teacher absences. Refunds or credits will not be provided to students who are unable to attend rescheduled make-up classes.

• Students assume all risk of changes in their personal schedules. Absence from the class does not reduce the cost of operating our programs, therefore there is no prorating of cost. For this reason student absence does not result in a refund, tuition credit or make-up session.
