Description
Do you own a digital camera but find yourself dissatisfied with your photos or puzzled about why some shots turn out great while others don't? This class is designed specifically for you. We'll guide you away from the automatic mode, empowering you with complete control over your camera settings. Dive deep into essential photography concepts such as hand-holding techniques, adjusting aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, utilizing the camera's light meter, mastering focus, exploring depth-of-field, and selecting the right lenses. Learn how to handle image backup, cataloging, and digital editing basics. We'll unravel the complexities of your camera's controls, offer constructive critiques of your photos, and provide ample hands-on practice time. Each participant receives a detailed handout for easy reference. Don't forget to bring your digital camera, instruction booklet, and saved JPG photos on a flash drive. Even if your camera lacks non-automatic modes, you're welcome to attend.
A $5.00 material fee is due to the instructor on the first night of class. Please bring cash to cover this expense. Enrollment is limited to fifteen (15) students.
Stay tuned for updates from the instructor throughout the course, including the possibility of an optional session added at the end for a special on-location shoot, available for an additional fee. Location and date to be determined.
