Reading a stock chart is a valuable skill to learn. It will allow you to take advantage of short-term and long-term trends in the market. Like nautical charts, stock charts can help you navigate the stock market, plot a course, and note areas of caution. In this class you will learn: the basics of reading a stock chart; three types of charts (line, bar, and candlestick charts); how to read a candlestick chart; how to identify areas of support and resistance (areas where a stock may reverse and go in the opposite direction), various chart patterns that may indicate a potential reversal in the stock’s direction. We will reinforce the concepts with exercises and hands on application sessions in which you will chart stocks, draw trend lines, and identify chart patterns on stocks you are interested in. We will use a free charting package called TradingView.com. It is recommended that you create a free account prior to class so you can follow along on your computer. Enrollment will be limited to 10 (ten) students. There are no discounts available on this class.
Please note there will be no class on Wednesday November 23rd
