Description

This class is for anyone wishing to learn or review the basic techniques of crochet and enhance their creative abilities. You will be taught the proper way to hold the crochet hook, the important parts of the crochet hook, proper holding of the yarn and how to put a slip knot on the hook. You will master the six (6) basic crochet stitches, learn the importance of the foundation row, and what turning chains represent. You will learn to recognize stitches and how to correctly count stitches and rows. Reading of crochet patterns, crochet language and terminology will also be taught. You will even learn how to add new yarn to your crochet piece and how to change colors within your crochet piece. Enrollment in this class is limited to ten (10) students. 

Additional Notes

Please bring to class:  Two-Color-Skeins of Red Heart Yarn - Solid Medium Color, #4, Worsted Weight, Crochet Hooks ranging in size G through K hooks, scissors, tape measure and crochet markers.

Please note: There is no class on Tuesday, November 7th. 

Class will be held in room 155. The Main Entrance is the best exterior entrance for this class.
