Description

Once you’ve identified a partner (stock or ETF) and are ready to tie the knot, you’ll need to find a place to get married. In the stock market, these venues are called brokerage firms. Brokerage firms are more than happy to help you enter into a long-term relationship. If things aren’t working out, they are more than happy to help you exit the relationship. In this class, we’ll use Schwab’s Think or Swim Paper Money. This software simulates a live trading environment, allowing investors to practice buying and selling stocks without risking any of their personal funds. You will have $100,000 of paper money to practice and build a portfolio to see how you do.

You will learn:
• How to select a broker
• The different order types and when to use them
• How to set up and use the Think or Swim platform
• How to enter, exit, and adjust trades

PLEASE NOTE: Our instructors are employed to teach general concepts to groups of students, rather than to offer specific investment advice to individuals. Students are advised to consult their own financial advisor or attorney before making any investment decisions based on specific examples provided by our instructors.
