Unlock the power of poetic expression in our Introduction to Poetry workshop, led by published author Rima Riedel. Whether you're a budding poet or someone who simply appreciates the beauty of language, this class invites you to explore the rich world of poetry in a welcoming and supportive environment. You'll embark on a journey through the various forms, styles, and themes of poetry, from traditional sonnets to free verse and everything in between. Through engaging discussions, creative writing exercises, and close readings of both classic and contemporary poems, you'll learn how to craft your own verses, experiment with imagery and metaphor, and tap into your unique voice as a poet. Join us as we celebrate the boundless possibilities of language and discover the transformative power of poetry.

Vernon Regional Adult Based and Continuing Education reserves the right to make necessary changes, including limiting course enrollment or canceling courses due to insufficient enrollment. If a course is canceled for this reason, registered students will be notified and fully refunded.

Class sessions may be rescheduled due to unforeseen school closures, COVID-related issues, inclement weather, or teacher absences. Refunds or credits will not be provided to students who are unable to attend rescheduled make-up classes.

Students assume all risk of changes in their personal schedules. Absence from the class does not reduce the cost of operating our programs, therefore there is no prorating of cost. For this reason student absence does not result in a refund, tuition credit or make-up session.
