Description

This course is designed to help you become better acquainted with the small engines used on lawn mowers, chain saws, garden tractors, and other small equipment. It will cover the care and use of small engine equipment, 2- and 4-cycle engines, and the basic principles of carburetion, ignition, lubrication, cooling, and fuel systems. The first class will be instructional; after that, students may bring in their own small engine items that need repair. Additionally, students can bring their own small tools for use in class. There is a 25% discount for senior citizens and military personnel.

Please Note:  Class will not be held Monday October, 14th.

Enrichment Class Students may find it more convenient to park in lot A, situated on the north side of the school, directly in front of the Agricultural Science & Technology Education (ASTE) building, for ease of access to classroom 104.

Cancellations & Refund Policy:

• Vernon Regional Adult Based and Continuing Education reserves the right to make necessary changes, including limiting course enrollment or canceling courses due to insufficient enrollment. If a course is canceled for this reason, registered students will be notified and fully refunded.  

• Class sessions may be rescheduled due to unforeseen school closures, COVID-related issues, inclement weather, or teacher absences. Refunds or credits will not be provided to students who are unable to attend rescheduled make-up classes.

• Students assume all risk of changes in their personal schedules. Absence from the class does not reduce the cost of operating our programs, therefore there is no prorating of cost. For this reason student absence does not result in a refund, tuition credit or make-up session.
