Description

Explore the delight of working with clay through hand building techniques including pinch, coil, and slab construction.  Students will learn carving, surface design, and sgraffito for expressive detail, along with an understanding of clay stages and materials.  The course concludes with glazing and surface finishing techniques, resulting in thoughtfully crafter, polished ceramic pieces.

There is a material fee of $45 payable to the instructor on the first night of the class. Please bring cash or a money order, as personal checks will not be accepted. If participants wish to purchase extra materials, they can do so directly from the instructor.

Enrollment for this class is limited to twelve (12) students.
